Tiny Survival is a gateway to the randomly-generated post-apocalyptic world of Zerth. Experienced entirely through the comfort of your command line.

   

Tiny Survival is a game that was written before the conception of The Strangest Interactive. Back in 2013 - I was bored at work and ended up writing this game just to keep myself busy and for amusement. It ended up becoming kind of a past-time in my department and my coworkers really enjoyed it. 

The objective of Tiny Survival is to survive for 365 in-game days. You can sprawl the randomly generated environment, encounter bizarre enemies, interact with strange NPCs, find and craft weapons, loot and consume food, drinks and medications. There are also rare events that take place on the map at various times that allow for even weirder events. The last, kind of cruel, feature is an overlord dragon-boss known as Bulzolgon who roams the map looking for you. If you rest or take to much damage in battle - he will track you down and attempt to destroy you. It can be a short or long game depending on how long you survive. 

When you boot up a session of the game for the first time you can type "Help" into the command window for an idea of how controls work. Everything is strongly typed so if the game is prompting you to type "North" you must type North and not north (if that makes sense). If you manage to survive for 365 days, id love for you to comment below with proof (using the stats.log file) - I may send you something cool for doing so - no cheating!

Tiny Survival will be available to purchase as a limited edition 3-1/2 inch floppy diskette. We may print more in the future - but for the time being, this will be a limited run of 20 diskettes. Each package will come with the game on disk, as well as some stickers, a manual/instruction card and other goodies - all packaged together in a plastic ziploc bag. These disks can be purchased for 10$ (shipping included) and will be shipped anywhere in the world. You can purchase these diskettes at checkout via itch.io.

This game is currently only playable on Microsoft Windows. It has been tested on Win10/Win8/WinXP - all other Microsoft Windows iterations are untested. However the game is written in a way that it should be playable on other iterations of windows with minimal issues.

This game is playable using the keyboard only.  A mouse is not needed for this game. No other controller support is planned for this game.
